Little India through my lens

These pictures may look artistic, soulful, moody... but let me tell you, I was so uncomfortable during the photo outing. I was drenched in sweat, my senses are tingling like crazy. Little India is HOT!!! AS IN INSANELY HOT! Notice in my pictures there have very little trees, almost none. Argh! I think I'm falling sick already.

Wish I had his coconut drink.

Funny looking structure, looks very Nepalese to me.

I like the man's silhouette and the texture of the fruit skin. :)

For us, this may just be a picture. For him, it's his life.

May look gross to many, but I used to eat with hands together with my Malay and Indian friends when I was very young. Somehow, I remembered eating with hands tasted yummy. :) Can feel the texture of the food as well. An extra sensory input to the gastronomical experience.

Pigeons are everywhere in Little India, and yes, pigeons are the birds of the poor. Confirmed by study. Pigeons tend to hang out in less posh-y areas as there's more litter around, and less flowers.

4 of the pigeons looking at me, probably mistaken my camera lens for a gun! HAHA! Notice how they turn their heads sideways to check me out. :)

Don't know what the flag means. But I'm curious to find out. Anyone to interpret?

Lots of misery in Little India. But it is still a way of life.

This man stood there staring at me for quite some time even though I was pointing my camera at him. Posing I guess? HAHA!

Lonely bicycle. :)

I like the decor on the facade of this building.

A mosque in the middle of Little India. Feels like I'm in the middle of a dessert. Yeah, especially when the sun is going full blast on me.

The architecture looks very Javanese.

Sky with an GND filter. :) The sky seems very majestic, but people below on Earth scraps off a living.

My carrot shot. Looks like a bouquet of... oh well, carrots.
