Dragonforce in Singapore


The Gods have landed. The turnout is really so unfitting for Gods of Metal. I think people in Singapore needs more exposure, as in seriously. The local radio stations really need to buck up and stop playing mainstream media. And stop being safe.


Mind you, the people who turn up... most of them only know of them via Guitar Hero. Not true rock fans! Yeah, people should really push it. Mediocrity is just not acceptable, in art... neither creation nor appreciation.


Stop being such a mainstreamer and push it, push to the limits!!!


Anyway, appreciate the music - it's sung and played by people worthy in the Hall of Fame which will last a lifetime. Mark my words. Sorry for the pics with high Noise. Taken with a point n shoot. :)

Alright, here's a rundown on the concert.

530PM:
Arrived at Downtown East. Sat just outside the concert hall to hear them practise! That really got me so nervous already. I was thinking, "How will I react when I see the gods in flesh!"

600PM:
See some people playing guitar hero 3 outside... nothing spectacular, countinued listening to the practise.

630PM:
Start queueing while listening to Anna (a Pinoy singer hired by Downtown East). OK voice.

730PM:
Start moving into D'Marquee (the hall)

800PM:
Death metal by Bhellion. Local death metal band. Not bad. Solid performance, but didn't really like the Vocalist though.

820PM:
Bhellion ends. Waited a bit for them to clear out for Dragonforce.

840PM:
Dragonforce starts. Tears came out of nowhere! The sight of Herman Li is just crazy! Sam Totman is crazy too.. Everyone went crazy, jumping up and down, heads banging! I just can't have enough of Dragonforce!

They start throwing guitar picks and bottles of water into the crowd. I got 3 Guitar Picks. HAHAH! Like treasure! YAY!!!!

YEAH!

ZP Theart is superb! He rocked the crowd. Clapped on my hands too. All of us rushed, extending hands out, just hoping to touch the flesh! HAHAHA!

Vadim the keyboardist is also crazy!!!! HAHAHAH! JUmping! Hands windmilling!!!!!

Frederic and Sam is super comical in their performance!!! HAHAHA! Loved them. I think Sam is the craziest! Wiping his ass with a towel and throwing back into the audience at the end of the show!

Herman is amazing!!!! The sight of him leading the guitarS! ARghh!!!

Theart spit alcohol into the crowd! Throwing bottles of water and beer! Fucking hell yeah!

1030PM:
Performance ended. SHIT! I felt like I just broke up with a gf! I won't be able to see them for years! Argh crap! Yeah, I'm super hyped up, but it's short. Time to say goodbye and I can only see them on screen. :( Hope to see them again!


The performance was a blast! People here should rock harder. Rock off the recession! It's sad to see fat bankers fuck around with so much money in their pocket. When guitar gods who produce sincere music gets such a dismal response! Fuck the world! The world is unfair! Getting pissed off right now!
